Tom Martens is an experienced professional in the field of composites and plastics engineering, currently serving as an SLC composites application technician at Sirris since May 2012, specializing in the production and testing of thermosetting and thermoplastic composite materials. Additionally, Tom holds a position as a composites application technician at SLC-Lab since the same year. Prior experience includes roles as a project leader at Home Renovations Martens, process engineer at Magna Belplas where responsibilities included the development of technical specifications and management of production processes, and injection moulder at LINPAC Packaging, focused on testing new materials and molds. Tom began their career as an operator at Linpac, contributing to production line management and optimization. Educational qualifications include a higher technical secondary degree in plastics technology from Sint-Jozefinstituut and training from Microcentrum Eindhoven.
