Richard Knight

Richard Knight is an experienced communications professional currently serving as the Senior Community Relations Manager at Sizewell C since April 2023. Previously, Richard worked at HMRC as the Head of Compliance Communications Campaigns, leading teams focused on tax compliance strategies, and as the Deputy Head of External Communication managing a large team of communications specialists. Richard also held significant roles including Head of External Communications at the Legal Aid Agency and the Department of Energy and Climate Change, where responsibilities included redefining communication strategies and overseeing major climate initiatives. Earlier experience includes strategic communication roles at the Home Office, where Richard managed communication strategies for counter-terrorism policies and media relations. Richard's career began at Comic Relief, contributing to various campaigns. Richard holds a Master of Science in Strategic Communication Leadership from The University of Huddersfield and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Philosophy from the University of Brighton.
