Chakra Srivatsa has over 30 years of work experience in various roles in the technology industry. Chakra started their career as a Hardware Engineer at Gigabit Logic, where they were responsible for library cell development and completed the design of an ASIC for Sandia National Labs. Chakra then joined Sun Microsystems as a Hardware Manager, working on circuit design and managing custom library and integration groups for the UltraSPARC 2 program.

After that, Srivatsa became the Director at ZSP Systems, where they managed the design team for the Rhino DSP microprocessor and also designed and verified key components of the processor. Chakra then managed the second version of the DSP processor, called the Hippo. ZSP Systems was later acquired by LSI Logic.

After their time at ZSP Systems, Srivatsa worked at Growth Networks as a Member of Technical Staff, designing modules for switch fabric ASICs and developing various tools. Chakra then joined Cisco as a Hardware Manager, leading major hardware deliveries for CRS-1/3 products, including the design and delivery of various ASICs. Later, they became a Software Development Manager, overseeing the software development for Cisco's NCS 6000 flagship router.

Currently, Srivatsa is a Principal Engineer at SK hynix memory solutions inc., where they have been since 2014.

Chakra Srivatsa's education history includes completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, from 1980 to 1985. Subsequently, from 1985 to 1987, Srivatsa pursued a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at UC Santa Barbara.
