Marques Thompson has a solid work experience in the field of engineering. Marques started their career as a Structural Engineering Intern at Wight & Company in May 2016 and held the position until January 2018. After that, they joined Wight & Company again in August 2018 as a Structural Design Engineer, a role they performed until June 2021. Currently, Marques is working at Skender as a Project Engineer since June 2021. Marques recently transitioned to the role of Assistant Project Manager in January 2023.
Marques Thompson completed their Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Structural Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology from 2017 to 2018. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Additionally, Marques obtained a certification as a Procore Certified Project Manager at GC (Preconstruction) from Procore Technologies in August 2021.
