Lambert van Vugt, PhD, is the Chief Data Scientist at SKF Group since July 2014, leading various predictive maintenance solutions and data-driven projects in an international environment. Prior roles include product ownership and technical leadership positions that focus on integrating AI and machine learning with physics-based condition monitoring systems. Lambert's academic background includes postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania in nanoscale optics and a PhD in semiconductor chemistry from Utrecht University. With experience ranging from advanced condition monitoring research to the synthesis of nanostructures, Lambert has made significant contributions in both industrial and academic settings.
