Howard Powell

Howard Powell has a diverse work experience, starting in 2001 with Beta Systems Software of Canada as a Quality Assurance Analyst and later becoming a Software Developer. Howard then worked at Chalk Media as a Software Developer Technical Lead, where they provided leadership to the development team and also took on the role of coordinating unit test initiatives. In 2011, they joined BlackBerry as a Senior Software Developer and continued in that role until 2014. Howard then worked at Deloitte Canada as a Lead, Cloud Engineering and later as a Manager, Tech Adoption. In 2020, they became a Development Team Lead at ServUs Health and then moved on to become an Engineering Manager at Qualio. In 2023, they joined Artisan Studios as a Lead Software Engineer and Skiller Whale as a Software Development Coach. In addition to their industry experience, Howard also served as a University Instructor at the University of New Brunswick in 2020.
