Ashlee Schmidt serves as the program officer for strategic alignment and execution at The Skillman Foundation.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Ashlee began her career as an English language arts teacher in New York City through Teach For America. After completing her Master’s in Public Policy at the University of Michigan’s Ford School of Public Policy, Ashlee worked at the U.S. Department of Education for several years. Most recently, Ashlee served as Director of Effective Educator Development Programs, overseeing federal discretionary grant programs focused on the development and retention of high-quality teachers and principals.
