In academia, Jacob was an Associate Lecturer of Chinese at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, teaching introductory courses and developing curriculum. Jacob holds a Master's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from National Taiwan Normal University and a Bachelor's degree in International/Global Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
