Jonathan is the Managing Director of Sky Sports. He joined Sky in 1998 after starting his career at Eurosport, initially working in the Audience Research department for Sky Media, before moving to Sky Sports in 2005 to become Head of Strategy and Planning and subsequently Director of Strategy and Business Development.
In 2019 he was promoted to Deputy MD for Sky Sports with responsibility for overseeing the delivery of the Sky Sports strategy and vision, including rights acquisitions, rights-holder relationships, channel plans and distribution. Jonathan became Managing Director for Sky Sports in May 2021, leading the business into its fourth decade of operation with a focus on innovation and growth across both linear and digital platforms.
During his career Jonathan has overseen a number of key initiatives that have strengthened the Sky Sports brand, including the packaging and proposition changes that saw Sky Sports channels move to be genre based, and the acquisition and extension of key rights including the Premier League, ECB and FA WSL.
