Sonya Bhatia

Sonya Bhatia has extensive work experience in the legal field. Sonya currently holds the position of SVP, Technology & Privacy Counsel at Skydance. Prior to their current role, they were the President of Sonya Bhatia, a Professional Corp, where they provided counsel to various clients including VIANT, SNAP Inc., ASICS America Corp, Twentieth Century FOX (Home Ent-Digital), Toyota North America, Mattel, and Loot Crate Inc. Sonya also served as an Of Counsel at Fandango and Fandango and NBCU, Acting General Counsel at M-GO: Movies & TV Everywhere!, BlueCava, SOS Online Backup (Infrascale, Inc.), and Lantronix. Additionally, they worked as Of Counsel at Adknowledge (formerly Hydra Group LLC) and Partner and General Counsel at Special Execution, LLC. In these roles, they handled a variety of legal matters, including technology transactions, IP portfolio development, corporate governance, corporate investigations, transaction negotiations, and general corporate advisory work.

Sonya Bhatia completed their Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree in Law from Pepperdine Law between 1994 and 1997. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Communication Studies with a specialization in Mass Communications from UCLA between 1990 and 1994.
