Dave Kroetsch currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors at Voyis and as an advisor for enVgo, a company innovating in electric hydrofoiling boats. With experience as the Director on the Board of Skygauge Robotics and co-owner of Plastics Redeemed, Kroetsch has held various advisory roles, including for Taiga Robotics Corp., which develops automation solutions for production lines. A previous VP at FLIR Systems and President & CEO of Aeryon Labs Inc., Kroetsch led Aeryon from a startup to a prominent VTOL drone manufacturer, achieving significant growth and raising substantial investment. Early career roles included hardware design at VideoLocus Inc. and PixStream Inc., both of which were acquired by larger corporations. Kroetsch holds a BASc in Computer Engineering and a MASc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Waterloo.

Skygauge Robotics has reinvented the drone to perform a wider range of industrial work. Their first application is taking metal thickness checks on industrial structures, bridges, ships, and wind turbines. Instead of having workers on ropes, boom lifts, and scaffolding The Skygauge will perform thickness checks 5-20x faster. This reduces downtime,cost of inspection, and increases safety by keeping workers on the ground. Once they capture the inspection market, their technology will branch out into pressure washing/cleaning, painting/coating, maintenance, and construction. The same way robot arms created a workforce in factories their drones will create a workforce in the sky.
