Nadun Udawela

Nadun Udawela has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles.

Nadun started their career as an Overnight Stocker at Coles in 2018, where they worked until 2022.

In 2019, Nadun joined the Melbourne Space Program as an Engineering Team Member, where they had a broad role working across different disciplines including flight systems, electrical, and software. Nadun also worked on the development of a 3U CubeSat nanosatellite as part of the ACRUX-2 project.

Nadun then took on the role of a SmartSat-CRC Firefly Project Engineer in 2020.

In 2021, they worked as an EV Battery Management System Engineer at MUR Motorsports.

Nadun gained additional engineering experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at DefendTex in 2022.

Currently, they are employed at Skykraft as a Radio Frequency Engineer since 2023.

Nadun Udawela has a strong educational background in engineering and biomedical sciences. Nadun earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Melbourne, which they completed from 2016 to 2019. Following their undergraduate studies, Nadun pursued a higher degree, completing a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Electrical Engineering with Business from the same institution from 2019 to 2022.

In addition to their formal education, Nadun has also obtained several certifications in the field of machine learning. Nadun completed the courses "Structuring Machine Learning Projects," "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization," and "Neural Networks and Deep Learning" through Coursera. These certifications were obtained in 2020, with the courses providing him with valuable knowledge and expertise in the application of machine learning techniques.
