Ruben Stepin has extensive work experience in the aviation industry. Ruben began their career at Lufthansa Systems FlightNav Inc. in 2005 as a Navigations Charting Engineer, focusing on optimizing navigation charting accuracy and safety in flight operations. Ruben then moved up to the role of Customer Support Manager, overseeing daily customer support operations and resolving complaints and incidents. In 2009, they became a Customer Service Manager, driving client loyalty and account growth through exceptional service.
From 2011 to 2013, Ruben worked at Lufthansa Systems as a Service Delivery Manager, managing customer contracts and ensuring fulfillment of agreements. Ruben was later promoted to Product Manager, leading the development and launch of technology products. Ruben also served as a Strategy & Portfolio Manager, identifying and pursuing business development opportunities for cockpit technology products.
In 2013, Ruben joined SKYTRAC as a Regional Sales Manager, responsible for sales in a specific region. Ruben then became the Manager of the Advanced Systems Group, where they introduced new intelligent connectivity services to the company's product portfolio. Ruben played a key role in the AEEC Global Aircraft Tracking and Timely Recovery of Flight Data working groups. In 2020, Ruben took on the role of Director, Business Development, leading the company's initiatives in the airline and eVTOL/Air Taxi market and establishing contracts with major OEMs.
Throughout their career, Ruben has demonstrated strong technical expertise, business development skills, and customer-focused approach.
Ruben Stepin completed their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Civil Aviation from the University of South Australia between 2000 and 2003. In 2009, they received a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Key Account Management from Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz Olten. In 2012, they obtained a Certificate in Product Management from Vector Consulting Services GmbH.
