Earlier career experience includes working as a Manager at Cathay Pacific Airways from December 1993 to June 1997, where responsibilities included sourcing and executing fleet financing for new aircraft deliveries. Ian holds a BSc in Psychology with First Class Honors from the University of Exeter, completed between 1976 and 1978, and received education at Cheltenham College in Gloucestershire, England from 1972 to 1975.
