Christina Howell

Christina Howell is a seasoned finance executive currently serving as Chief Financial Officer at Slate Magazine since May 2024. Previously, Christina held the position of Senior Vice President of Finance at Hearst Newspaper Group from January 2020 to December 2023. Christina also worked as Vice President of Finance at the San Francisco Chronicle and SFGATE from April 2016 to January 2020, and as Director of Global Financial Planning & Analysis at StubHub from November 2013 to April 2016. Earlier in Christina's career, leadership roles included Vice President of Finance for Global Business Transformation, VP of Financial Planning & Analysis for the Americas, and VP of Financial Planning & Analysis for US Dockers at Levi Strauss & Co. Christina earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from San Francisco State University and a degree in Political Science from the University of Bristol.
