Lecturer In Legal Services (course Leader Hnd) And Police Studies at South Lanarkshire College

Dr. Scott Kennedy has extensive experience in the field of legal education, currently serving as a Lecturer in Legal Services and Police Studies at South Lanarkshire College since August 2018. Prior to this role, Dr. Kennedy worked as an Associate Lecturer at the University of the West of Scotland from October 2010 to August 2019, where responsibilities included tutoring in Business Law and lecturing on Domestic Relations. Additionally, Dr. Kennedy was the Widening Participation Development Co-ordinator, focusing on enhancing progression rates to higher education. With a specialty in Human Rights, particularly concerning end-of-life issues, and interest in socio-legal topics such as transgender rights and same-sex marriage, Dr. Kennedy completed a PhD in Human Rights Law in 2016. Educational qualifications also include a TQFE in Further Education Teaching from the University of Aberdeen and a BA (Hons) in Law from the University of the West of Scotland.
