Meng Z. has a diverse and extensive work experience. Most recently, they worked as a Senior Manager of Process Integration Engineering at KYOCERA SLD Laser from March 2022. Prior to that, Meng was a Principal Engineer at Rockley Photonics Inc. where they led the tech process for OptoAsic chip and supported various projects including process transfer and health sensing product ramp up. Meng also served as the Chief Scientist and co-founder of an optoelectronics startup from May 2018 to November 2019. They have also held managerial roles at Lumentum and Soraa, where they were responsible for product engineering and MOCVD epitaxy, respectively. Meng's career began at Philips Lumileds Lighting Company, where they were a RD Project Lead and Staff Development Engineer, leading next-generation RD epi projects and supporting multiple RD MOCVD tools. Meng Z. has a strong educational background with a focus on optoelectronics. They obtained a PhD in Optoelectronics from the University of Michigan.
