Bobby Schoen

Bobby Schoen has extensive experience in geology, currently serving in multiple roles at SM Energy Company since January 2018, including Development Geologist, Technical Development Geologist, Geologist Completions Design Team, Operations Geologist, and Associate Geologist. Prior experience includes an internship at BHL Boresight and BHL Consulting, where data correlation and software exhibition were key responsibilities, as well as a consultant role at Detring Energy Advisors focused on Midland Basin project support. Bobby also contributed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Stephen F. Austin State University and held teaching assistant positions at Texas A&M University-Kingsville. Early career experience includes a Field Technician/Supervisor position at CTI OilField Services. Bobby holds a Master’s Degree in Geology from Stephen F. Austin State University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Geology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville.
