Allen Ashe has extensive experience in software quality assurance and testing. Allen started their career in 1996 as a Software Test Engineer at Sperry-Sun Drilling Services, where they validated the development of a new Windows NT based C++ down-hole tool management package.
Allen then worked at Pentasafe as a Senior Quality Engineer from 1999 to 2002. In this role, they focused on ensuring the quality of the company's products.
From 2002 to 2006, Allen worked at NetIQ, Corp. as a Senior Quality Engineer - Team Lead. Allen successfully managed an internationally-distributed team on various projects, trained remote team members, reviewed test plans and cases, and reported progress to management.
At Attachmate, Corp., Allen served as a Senior Test Engineer from 2006 to 2009. Allen developed and executed manual and automated test plans, improved delivery time of applications to validation team, and increased regression functional test coverage.
From 2010 to 2013, Allen worked at Money Management International as a Senior QA Engineer, and at C/S Solutions, Inc. as a Senior Software QA Engineer. Allen focused on quality assurance and testing activities in both roles.
At Houston Galleria Project Management Toastmasters, Allen was the Vice President of Education from 2013 to 2014. Allen worked with the club to provide training and development opportunities for project managers.
Currently, Allen is the Senior Software QA Specialist at SMA Technologies. Allen is responsible for quality assurance of the web-based interface known as Solution Manager, with a focus on automated testing using Java-based Selenium tests.
Allen Ashe obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Houston, where they studied from 1985 to 1993. Prior to that, they attended DeVry Institute of Technology and earned an Associate of Electronics Engineering Technology (AEET) degree between 1973 and 1975. Additionally, Allen Ashe has obtained certifications in leadership and communication, including the "Competent Leader" and "Competent Communicator" certifications from Toastmasters International in July and June of 2013, respectively.
