Software Engineer at Smallstep

Mariano Cano has been working in the software engineering industry since 2004. Starting at Trymedia Systems Inc. as an SQA Automation Engineer, they designed and developed automatic applications and scripts to test and improve the quality of the Trymedia products. Mariano then moved to Macrovision in 2005, where they maintained and developed new features for the e-commerce and distribution infrastructure. In 2008, they joined RealNetworks as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the lead software developer for the new gamehouse.com site, and developed REST APIs to provide BaaS for online games. In 2013, they joined Betable as an Engineer, where they were the lead developer on the core identity management service, and lead developer of a distributed job scheduler and message processing system in Go using Kafka and Zookeeper. Since 2017, they have been working at Smallstep as a Software Engineer.

Mariano Cano obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from Universitat d'Alacant between 1999 and 2004.
