John McMullan

John T. McMullan is a seasoned banking professional with extensive experience in commercial lending and leadership roles. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Huntsville Market Executive at SmartBank since April 2019, McMullan has previously held key positions including Vice President of Commercial Lending at Trustmark Bank and Executive Vice President at Southern States Bank, where oversight included managing a highly productive team. Prior to these roles, McMullan was Lending President at Colonial Bank, responsible for a $200 million commercial lending portfolio in North Alabama. McMullan's academic background includes a BSBA in Business with a focus on Accounting from The University of Alabama in Huntsville and advanced banking education from the BAI Graduate School of Banking and The Alabama School of Banking.
