Joana Espinoza has extensive experience in executive support roles, currently serving as Executive Administrator to the Executive Director at Smarter Balanced since April 2022, where responsibilities include calendaring, travel coordination, project management, and strategic planning. Prior to this role, Joana worked at the University of Idaho from July 2010 to March 2022 as Executive Assistant to the Vice Provosts for Faculty, Academic Initiatives and Student Affairs, and also as Assistant to the Dean of the College of Engineering. Earlier experience includes the position of Program Coordinator at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation from March 2006 to July 2010. Joana holds two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Organizational Science from the University of Idaho.
