Colin MacKenzie is an accomplished electrical engineer and consultant with extensive experience in power systems management and business development across various sectors. Currently serving as Principal Consultant at Smarter Grid Solutions since December 2019, Colin focuses on advancing Active Network Management and Distributed Energy Resource Management System products for Distribution Network Operators globally. Colin's previous roles include BD Manager for ABB’s DERMS, Senior Principal Consultant at ABB Power Consulting, and Principal Consultant at DNV GL, among others. With a solid academic foundation, including an MSc in Electrical Power Engineering from the University of Strathclyde and a BSc (Hons) in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Paisley College of Technology, Colin has successfully contributed to optimizing power operations and facilitating the integration of renewable energy solutions throughout a diverse career spanning over three decades.
