Frazer Watson is an experienced Solutions Architect at Smarter Grid Solutions, with a career spanning over a decade, beginning in October 2010. In this role, Frazer is responsible for developing design solutions for Utility DERMS, Fleet DERMS, and Microgrid control systems during the pre-sales and early design phases, while also preparing responses to RFIs and RFPs. Previously, as Integration Practice Lead, Frazer led a team of engineers focused on systems integration for Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems across Europe and North America. As a Senior Smart Grid Engineer, Frazer spearheaded the technical design and deployment of various smart grid control systems, leveraging expertise in communication protocols, PLC/RTU development, and scripting languages. Earlier in the career, experience as a Smart Grid Engineer involved delivering active network management systems for electricity network operators in the UK. Prior to joining Smarter Grid Solutions, Frazer worked at SSE plc as a Team Manager and Graduate Trainee. Frazer holds a BEng (Hons) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Strathclyde.
