James Carson McCaffery is a dynamic software engineer at Smarter Grid Solutions, where he focuses on the maintenance and improvement of STRATA GRID, within the renewable energy sector. He is also advancing his expertise through a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering at the University of Glasgow, blending rigorous academic learning with impactful industry experience.
Starting his tech journey with a Foundation Apprenticeship in software development at City of Glasgow College, James laid a solid foundation for his career. In addition to his technical pursuits, he has a strong passion for supporting youth development, evidenced by his involvement with the East Dunbartonshire Council’s Snack and Play scheme. This initiative focuses on providing enriching summer activities and nutritious meals to children, demonstrating James's commitment to community service and the well-being of young people.
