Chung Liu (PhD)

Chung Liu (PhD) is a research chemist at SmartKem, Inc. since April 2022, focusing on the discovery of new materials for organic semiconductors. Prior to this role, Chung served as a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Liverpool from October 2017 to April 2022, concentrating on polysiloxane polymers for drug release kinetics measured through radiometric analysis, as well as completing a PhD in Chemistry at the same institution from 2017 to 2021, where research centered on synthesizing long-acting implants for antiretroviral therapies under an NIH-funded project.
