Luca Lazzaretto has a strong background in information technology and security. Luca currently holds the position of Head of ICT at Smith Optics since 2023. Prior to that, Luca worked at Safilo as both Group Information Security Officer and Group IT Security Officer | Data Protection Officer starting in 2015. Luca also served as an IRM Manager at KPMG Italy from 2012 until 2015, and as a Security Consultant at Accenture from 2007 to 2012.

Most recently, Luca has been attending CUOA from 2021 to 2023, pursuing an ICT Executive Master degree in Information Technology.
In addition to their formal education, Luca has obtained several certifications related to information security and IT management. Luca became a Scrum Master Certified (SMC) through iLEARN Innovative Learning in September 2021. In March 2015, they obtained the Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA) certification from ISACA. Furthermore, Luca received the ISO 27001 Lead Auditor certification from RINA in August 2013. Additionally, they acquired the RSA Archer Admininistration certification from RSA in February 2013. Prior to this, Luca obtained the ITIL v3 Foundation certification from Adfor in September 2012 and the BS 25999 Lead Auditor certification from BSi in June 2011.

Based in Portland, OR, Smith Optics, Inc. was founded in 1965 with the creation of the first-ever goggle featuring a sealed thermal lens and breathable vent foam. In the early years, founder Dr. Bob Smith, an orthodontist by trade, made goggles by hand using dental tools, foam and glue. Before he struck a deal for manufacturing of Smith goggles in the late 60's, Smith would often trade his creations for lift tickets. These early prototypes were usually manufactured by Smith and friends around the kitchen table. Today, Smith Optics has become synonymous with innovative, durable, top-quality products in the eyewear and goggle market. The company is also recognized for its unparalleled team roster, which boasts some of the top names in biking, motocross, skiing, snowboarding, surfing, skateboarding and wakeboarding.
