Steve Crooks

Steve Crooks is a highly experienced professional in wetland science and coastal management, currently serving as Co-Founder and Principal at Silvestrum Climate Associates, LLC since August 2016. In addition to this role, Steve is a Research Associate at the Smithsonian Institution and an expert on VCS: AFOLU for the Wetland Restoration and Conservation category. Steve is also a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission's Mangrove Specialist Group and has held positions with NASA's Carbon Monitoring System and ESA PWA, where leadership in climate change services and project management was paramount. Steve holds a Ph.D. in Sedimentology from the University of Reading, along with an M.Sc. in Sedimentology and a B.Sc. in Oceanography from Bangor University.
