Florian Schleich is a seasoned professional in the field of media systems and digital cinema technology, currently serving as Standards Director and Vice President at SMPTE since January 2022, where responsibilities include coordinating engineering activities and enhancing the accessibility of SMPTE standards. At Netflix, Florian has held roles including Senior Software Engineer and Technical Integrations Manager, focusing on standardization and integration efforts in post-production, particularly in implementing IAB support in IMF. Prior experience includes a Senior Engineer position at Fraunhofer USA, contributing to SMPTE working groups and developing easyDCP software, as well as a research role at Fraunhofer IIS, where involvement centered around digital cinema projects and software development for DCP creation.
