Claire Gough

Claire Gough has extensive experience in operations and management within the utilities sector, currently serving as the I&C Metering Operations Manager at SMS plc since August 2021, having previously held the position of Business Support Manager. Prior to this, Claire worked at British Gas from March 2012 to December 2020, where roles included Connections & Metering Operations Manager, Gas Infrastructure Sales Manager, Electricity Delivery Manager, and Gas Delivery Manager. Claire also took a career break from April 2006 to September 2011 to focus on family, following a significant tenure at British Gas that began in August 1998 as a Senior Account Negotiator in I&C Sales. Earlier career experience includes working as a Trainee Newspaper Reporter at Bailey Newspaper Group Limited from October 1996 to January 1998. Claire Gough is an alumna of the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.
