Gail Blain

Gail has strong corporate finance and accounting experience acquired over a number of years in senior financial roles. As Group Financial Controller, Gail has key responsibility for financial and management reporting, financial planning and analysis, and financial performance monitoring across the Group. Since joining SMS in 2016, Gail has worked to standardise and streamline processes ensuring alignment with the strategic direction of the business. Prior to joining the Company, Gail spent six years at Aggreko plc and three years with BAA Limited Group. Gail is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland, qualifying with Baker Tilly LLP in 2007.
