Harko Koster

Harko Koster serves as the Global Lead for Climate & Food Systems at SNV since November 2020, focusing on strategy development, innovation, and managing a $310 million project portfolio globally. Previously, Koster held roles at WWF International as Manager for Conservation Strategy & Innovation, overseeing strategy development across nine global practices, and at WWF Netherlands in various leadership positions, including Leader of Landscapes and Protected Areas, which involved mobilizing conservation actions over extensive regions. Koster's earlier experience includes consultancy roles addressing REDD+ and natural resource management projects, and an associate expert position at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands, promoting land legalization in Ecuador. Koster holds an Engineer's degree in Biology - Ecosystems from Wageningen University & Research.
