Amir Tavasoli

Amir Tavasoli is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience across various industries. Currently serving as Director of Data Science - Marketing at Sobeys since July 2021, Amir leads a full-stack machine learning team to deliver personalized solutions for millions of customers across multiple banners in Canada. Prior to this role, Amir held notable positions at Paytm Labs as Technical Lead - Machine Learning and Data Scientist at The Home Depot Canada, where Amir focused on building scalable machine learning models and recommendation engines. Amir's earlier experience includes key roles at Canadian Tire Corporation and a research assistantship at DeGroote School of Business. Amir holds an MSc in Computer Science from McMaster University and a BSc in Computer Science from Amirkabir University of Technology.
