Kirthika Balasubramanian has an extensive work experience spanning over two decades. Kirthika started their career as an Articled Trainee at M/s Joseph & Rajaram, Chartered Accountants in 2000. After completing their training, they joined Ernst & Young (S R Batliboi & Company, Chartered Accountants) as an Executive in the Audit & Assurance department in 2005. Kirthika worked there for three years before joining Franklin Templeton Investments in 2008 as a Senior Manager/ Senior Internal Auditor. Kirthika spent a significant amount of time at Franklin Templeton, serving in that role for ten years. In 2018, they moved on to Societe Generale Global Solution Centre, where they held the position of Supervisor - Business Audit for two years. Currently, they serve as the Head of Investment Banking Audit at the same company in Chennai.
Kirthika Balasubramanian completed their education at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a degree in Chartered Accountancy. Prior to that, they attended Kendriya Vidyalaya from 1988 to 1999 and pursued a degree in Business/Commerce, General from the University of Madras. In addition to their academic qualifications, Kirthika has also obtained certifications such as Sustainability and Climate Risk (SCR) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in 2023, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA in 2011, and is an affiliate of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) since 2005.
