Alexandre Maymat

Alexandre Maymat serves as the Head of the Inspection and Audit division and the Head of Global Transaction & Payment Services at Société Générale since September 2019. Previously, from 2001 to 2019, Maymat held multiple senior roles within Société Générale, including Head of the Africa, Mediterranean Basin & Overseas Region for International Retail Banking and Financial Services, CEO and Board Member of Société Générale Cameroun, as well as Regional Director and Business Center Director. Earlier experience includes roles such as a Managing Director at the European Union's General Inspection and Deputy Secretary for the Economic and Financial Committee, along with serving as Financial Attaché at the French Permanent Representation to the European Community and a researcher at INSEE. Maymat holds an engineering degree from École Polytechnique and has further education from ENSAE Paris and Lycée Janson-de-Sailly.
