Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion (SARP)
Prabhav Rawat currently works as a Project Manager at NASA L'SPACE MCA and as a Test Engineer at the Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion (SARP). They were responsible for designing and constructing a test stand and site to test a rocket engine with 5,000 lbf, ensuring safety precautions were followed during the preparation for a rocket engine hot fire. Prabhav also utilized Solidworks to 3D model test site accommodations and test stand transportation. Prior to these roles, they served as a Customer Engagement Representative at the YMCA of Greater Seattle. Prabhav is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering at the University of Washington, after graduating from Skyline High School in 2022.
Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion (SARP)
The Society for Advanced Rocket Propulsion (SARP) is a group of student engineers at the University of Washington committed to designing, building, and launching an advanced hybrid sounding rocket every year. We compete in the annual Spaceport America Cup in New Mexico, in which over 100 student teams from around the world compete with their rockets. We compete in the most technically challenging category: student researched and developed hybrid motor with an altitude goal of 30,000 feet above ground level. Our team consists of over 100 undergraduate students from many different majors, including aeronautics & astronautics, mechanical, chemical, electrical, and computer engineering as well as other non-engineering majors.
