Robert Baillargeon started their work experience as an Electrical Engineer at General Motors in 1996. Robert then became a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Leader in Vehicle Systems and Software Engineering Tools, where they developed UML modeling practices and implemented the first UML production code generation solution for GM. From 2005 to 2008, they served as a Staff Researcher, leading research initiatives in Software Engineering.
In 2008, they joined Panasonic Automotive Systems as a Process, Methods, and Tools Manager, where they were responsible for the architecture and delivery of software and systems engineering tools. Robert also deployed product line asset management practices to improve organizational efficiencies and quality improvements.
In 2010, Baillargeon joined Sodius Corp. as a Director, leading the delivery of customer solutions and later became the Vice President of Engineering. Robert was responsible for strategies and solutions for the Complex Systems Domain and led the expansion of the Sodius technology portfolio.
In 2014, Baillargeon became the Director of Solutions Delivery at CloudOne, leading the delivery of customer solutions in the Systems Practice and collaborating with business partners to extend the Solutions Delivery and Workbench Capability.
From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Principal Consultant at Method Park America Inc. In 2017, they joined SODIUS as the Vice President and later became the Chief Product Officer, delivering products for enterprise interoperability in regulated industries.
Robert Baillargeon completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Michigan Technological University from 1993 to 1996. Robert then pursued a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, which they completed from 2000 to 2004. In addition to their degrees, they obtained the certification of "intacs Provisional Assessor" from the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA) in January 2017.
