Venelin Dimitrov is the founder and CEO of SoftGroup, a software company specializing in pharmaceutical Serialization and Track & Trace solutions. Venelin has been with the company since 2003. Additionally, they are a management board member of GS1 Bulgaria, an international non-profit organization that develops and maintains supply chain standards. Venelin joined GS1 Bulgaria in 2023. Venelin is also a member of the Digital Health and Innovation Cluster Bulgaria, a non-profit association supporting digital solutions and innovations in healthcare. Venelin joined the association in 2019. Furthermore, Venelin is an Endeavor Entrepreneur, a non-profit organization that supports high-impact entrepreneurs globally. Venelin joined Endeavor in 2016. Lastly, Venelin is a member of BASSCOM, the industry association of leading Bulgarian software development companies. Venelin has been part of BASSCOM since 2012.
Venelin Dimitrov obtained their high school diploma in Computers and Electronics from Technical High School "A. S. Popov" Veliko Tarnovo in the period between 1989 and 1993. Later, from 1995 to 1999, they pursued higher education at St. Cyril and St. Methodius University of Veliko Tarnovo, earning a Master's degree in Computer Science.
