Abbas Al Lawati, CFA, currently serves as Executive Vice President and Head of Treasury, Investment, and Capital Markets at Sohar International since June 2020. Prior to this role, Abbas held various positions at bank muscat from January 2014 to June 2020, including Deputy Head Treasury for Commodities & Banks and Global Head for Commodities and Banks. Additionally, Abbas was a Board Member at Muscat Capital from June 2015 to March 2018 and previously worked at BankMuscat from February 2006 to November 2012 in roles such as Deputy Head of Equity Capital Markets. Abbas holds an MBA in International MBA from IE Business School and a BSc in Accounting/Finance from the American University of Sharjah. Further education includes a Fintech Foundation Course from the Centre for Finance, Technology and Entrepreneurship.
