Ahmed Al Balushi is a seasoned professional in information security and business continuity management, currently serving as the Senior Vice President and Head of Information Security & Business Continuity Management at Sohar International since March 2018. Prior to this role, Ahmed held significant positions at Alizz Islamic Bank as Head of Information Security and Senior Manager Information Security from February 2015 to March 2018. Experience also includes serving as Information Security Officer and IT System Administrator & Risk Officer at the Central Bank of Oman from March 2006 to January 2015. Ahmed began the career at Nawras Telecom as a Customer Support representative. Educational qualifications include a Postgraduate Master of Applied Science in Information Security & Assurance from RMIT University, a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Modern College of Business and Science, and a Diploma in Computer Engineering from the American University of Sharjah.
