Alejandro Castañeda Montero is a seasoned professional in the renewable energy sector with extensive experience in project development and management. Currently serving as Project Development Manager at Sol Petroleum since July 2021, Alejandro previously held key roles at GreenTech Solar Cayman, including Renewable Energy Senior Project Coordinator, where responsibilities included managing a substantial project portfolio and overseeing the construction of solar PV systems. Alejandro's background also features roles in energy finance and project analysis at RES4Med&Africa, program and project management at Accenture México, and commercial analysis at Logyt. Alejandro holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Energy Systems Management from Hanze, a specialization in Sustainable Energy Management from Universidad de Zaragoza, and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, complemented by a focus on renewable energies during a semester abroad at the University of Nottingham and advanced training in solar technology from Solar Energy International.
