Simon Doble has a diverse work experience. Simon is the Founder and Global CEO of SolarBuddy, a charity that provides solar solutions to children and families in energy poverty. Simon is also the Founder and CEO of Barefoot Citizens, WYLD Bikes, and The Barefoot Creative Collective. Additionally, they are an author of the OH NO MO! Smarty Safety Series and the Founder of BrightBeam. Prior to these roles, they served as the Director of The Doble Group.
Simon Doble obtained their Bachelor's Degree in Business from Brunel University, where they studied from 1993 to 1996.

SolarBuddy is an impact organisation uniting a global community to illuminate the futures of all children. Energy poverty plunges 1.4 billion people into complete darkness, every night as they lack equal access to clean energy. They depend on primitive forms of energy like charcoal and firewood to ignite their way through the night. These forms of energy have a devastating impact on their health, well-being, economic stability, educational outcomes and the environment. Our goal is to gift millions of solar lights to children living in energy poverty by 2030. The solar lights allow children to safely study after dusk and improve their educational outcomes. Our programs allow our community to transform lives through the gift of light while learning how innovative design solutions can help create a more sustainable world.
