Colin Cann has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Colin began their career at Aero Metal Fabrication Inc. as an Aeronautical Engineering Technologist, where they provided mechanical design and drafting assistance. Colin then transitioned to roles at Nortel Networks and Solectron, where they worked as an ICT Repair Quality Specialist.
Colin then joined Indutech Canada Limited as a Quality Assurance Manager, where they were responsible for developing and implementing quality systems and procedures. Colin also performed audits, prepared productivity and non-conformance analysis reports, and provided technical support to various departments.
Following this, Colin worked at Solaris MCI, first as a Quality Assurance Lead, where they managed and developed the QC team and implemented quality systems. Colin also provided project support, on-site support, and developed a regulatory knowledge base. Colin later worked as an SQS & Project Coordinator and a Project Coordinator, where they led supplier quality surveillance and technical support for vendor equipment and field engineering.
In addition to their professional experience, Colin also served as the Vice Chairman for the CWA - Vancouver Chapter.
Overall, Colin has a strong background in quality assurance, project coordination, and technical support, with expertise in implementing quality systems and procedures.
Colin Cann completed their education in aeronautical engineering technology at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) from 1995 to 1998, earning a Diploma in the field. In 2015, they attended BSI and obtained a Lead Auditor certification in ISO 9001:2008. Additionally, in 2014, they obtained a certification in ISO 9001:2008 Lead Auditor from BSI and in 2013, they achieved a certification as an Applied Science Technologist from ASTTBC.
