David Hackney

David Hackney is an experienced petroleum engineer with a significant background in the oil and gas industry. Currently serving as a Senior Adviser for Solomon Associates since September 2021, Hackney previously held various roles at Chevron from December 2003 until retirement, including Consultant Petroleum Engineer and Sr Petroleum Engineer specializing in waterflood operations. His expertise encompasses both offshore and onshore projects, notably leading large offshore waterflood operations and consulting on the deepwater Agbami Field. Hackney also contributed to Chevron Texaco as a Senior Petroleum Engineer from January 1999 to November 2003 and was involved in the Dolphin Project with Texaco Trinidad from June 1995 to December 1998. Educational qualifications include a BS in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana Tech University, an MS in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University, and an MS in Engineering Management from the University of New Orleans.
