Daniel Ahrens

Daniel Ahrens is a Senior Research Associate at SomaLogic since November 2021, specializing in the SELEX process for identifying novel aptamers and utilizing kinetic assays, FACS, and Mass-Spec for aptamer characterization. Previously, Daniel held the position of Research Associate II, leading a team to qualify aptamer binding and quantify binding affinities. Daniel's academic background includes a Master of Arts in Cell/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Microbiology from the University of California, Davis. Daniel's experience also includes roles as a Graduate Student at the University of Colorado Boulder, a Life Science Research Professional at Stanford University, and an intern at Scott Dawson Lab.
