with 40% of the world's 7,000 languages predicted to disappear over the next 80 years, we need to make it easier for people & communities to keep their languages, culture & heritage alive. at somos, our 4-week long teacher-led, conversation based courses are designed to:- help language teachers earn & live well (from $240+(net of commission!)/course)- provide access to affordable language education (from $3/session)- support language rights for all people.how it works - teachers lead weekly workshops to provide structure, set homework & support your learning. - practice needs partners! each week you'll have at least 1 structured practice session in a group of 4 with other dedicated learners like you. - introduce yourself, ask questions & make friends in your cohort's community chat group. - courses start from $25/student for at least 9 learning sessions giving you an affordable way to turbo charge your fluency!- you'll have a final session at the end to celebrate your learnings + collect a certificate you can share on linkedin. impact somos is a social enterprise building a global community of teachers, learners, activists & grassroots activists sharing, protecting & celebrating languages. we have a unique ownership model that allocates equity ownership for our team, teachers & grassroots community organisations. 1% of gross merchandising value that flows through somos goes to our impact fund which proudly supports:- refugees & migrants in diaspora- the protection & promotion of language rights- mental health & wellbeing- broader access to digital services for systematically excluded cultures & groupswhether you're looking to teach or learn a language, we'd love to hear from you! please get in touch to find out more :)
