Patrick Corbett has extensive experience in the insurance industry, particularly in the Accident & Health sector. Patrick started their career in 1993 at AIG, where they held various senior executive roles over a span of 23 years. At AIG, they worked across Africa, the Middle East, UK, and Europe and managed a portfolio covering 36 geographic markets. Their responsibilities included driving multi-million dollar growth, overseeing risk management, and implementing cost controls. In 2016, Corbett joined XL Catlin as the Global Chief Underwriting Officer for Accident & Health. In 2018, they moved to AXA XL, a division of AXA, where they served as the Chief Underwriting Officer for Life, Accident & Health. Currently, Corbett holds the position of Executive Vice President and Global Head of Accident & Health at Sompo International, starting in 2022.
Patrick Corbett obtained a Bachelor's degree in Financial Services from Edinburgh Napier University in 2008. Additionally, they have a certification as a Chartered Insurer from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
