Yves Prete

Yves Prete has over 30 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industries. Yves currently serves as Chairman at Sonaca, a leading provider of integrated solutions for the aerospace industry. Prior to joining Sonaca, they served as CEO of Safran Aero Boosters, a leading supplier of aircraft engines and propulsion systems. Yves also served as a Member of the Board at Agoria, a Belgian trade association for the tech industry. Prete began their career at FN Herstal, a leading manufacturer of small arms and light weapons, where they held various positions over the course of 15 years. Yves then joined VBO-FEB, a Belgian trade association for the defense industry, where they served as General Manager for 5 years. In 2010, they joined Safran Aero Boosters as CEO. Yves served in this role for 9 years before joining Sonaca in 2019.

Yves Prete is a Belgian electro-mechanical engineer who graduated from the Université libre de Bruxelles. Yves also attended the EPM Ecole Perfectionnement Management.
