Cheng Chen is an accomplished machine learning scientist with extensive experience in artificial intelligence and data science. Currently employed at Sonar since May 2022, Cheng focuses on machine learning for static code analysis. Previously founded AInsight Sàrl, providing design and development services in digital technologies from October 2021 to April 2022. Cheng’s prior roles include serving as a Senior Artificial Intelligence Engineer/Scientist at SICPA, where contributions featured ML solutions for digital identity and biometrics, as well as patent-pending projects for photo-based protection. At Nestlé from January 2015 to April 2020, Cheng held multiple senior data scientist positions, leading initiatives in mobile health, digital manufacturing, and product development. Early career work includes research at the Universität Bern and Idiap Research Institute, focusing on medical image analysis and computer vision algorithms. Cheng Chen earned a PhD in Computer Science from Zhejiang University, where previous studies culminated in a BSc in the same field.
