William Perry

William Perry is a distinguished engineer with extensive experience in software engineering and product development. Currently serving as Distinguished Engineer at SonicWall since November 2016, Perry was previously Senior Principal Engineer at both Dell and SonicWall before the spin-off. Perry's tenure includes significant roles at Aventail Corporation, where as Senior Software Engineer, responsibilities included architecture and implementation of SSL VPN features. Early career contributions include project leadership at SPRY Inc., focusing on secure web server development, and involvement in the Free Software community, particularly with Emacs and XEmacs. Perry holds a degree from Indiana University Bloomington.
